Authorities have stated that schools will be closed on Monday in Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, and Himachal Pradesh due to the devastation caused by severe rain in North India.

Many pilgrims are stranded on their Amarnath Yatra as a result of the severe weather. The Beas river’s water level is steadily rising due to heavy rain. Flash floods have occurred as a result in several districts.
All schools and institutions in Himachal Pradesh will be closed on Monday and Tuesday due to the state’s ongoing landslides, heavy rain, and severe flooding, the state administration stated on Sunday.
Gurugram: On Monday, all schools, colleges, and corporate offices will be closed.
The district administration ordered all public and private schools to be shuttered on Monday due to the severe waterlogging and downpour that occurred in Gurugram on Sunday.
The Gurugram district administration issued an advisory in which it stated, “All Government and Private Schools (including Play schools etc.) falling within Gurugram district are hereby directed to remain closed tomorrow, i.e. on the 10th of July, in the greater public interest and for the safety & security of the students.” All corporate offices and private organisations were instructed to allow their staff to work from home on Monday in addition to the district administration.
The Gurugram district administration advised all businesses and private institutions in the area to encourage their staff to work remotely on Wednesday, July 10, in order to reduce traffic congestion and facilitate government agencies’ repair and restoration of public facilities.
In addition to this, individuals were urged not to leave their homes unless there was an emergency.
Schools in Ludhiana and Chandigarh will remain closed
Other than the Himalayan states, Punjab and Haryana residents found monsoon rain to be a nightmare. According to announcements made on Sunday, Chandigarh schools have also been closed for the next two days due to the nonstop rain.
