The e-commerce platform Meesho and the Vision & AI Lab (VAL) of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a one-year period as part of a collaboration between industry and academia at a time when generative AI and large language models (LLMs) have become crucial technologies in the e-commerce sector.
In accordance with the partnership, VAL will help Meesho boost advancements in crucial fields including multimodal large language models (LLMs) and generative artificial intelligence. Future e-commerce industry expansion is Meesho’s goal.
According to a statement from the business, “This collaborative environment fosters innovation and provides Meesho’s data scientists with the knowledge and resources needed to stay at the forefront of the rapidly changing e-commerce landscape.”
Data scientists from Meesho will have the opportunity to work with lab researchers from the institute. Together, they will concentrate on generative AI capabilities and multimodal representation learning with the goal of significantly influencing the e-commerce sector.
