Speeding luxury car rams into people gathered at the accident site in SG Highway, Gujarat

In two accidents that occurred back-to-back on the ISKCON flyover on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar (SG) highway in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, at least nine persons died.

People apparently gathered when an SUV crashed a dumper, and a fast luxury automobile ploughed over them. In the disaster, nine people—including a police officer—lost their lives.

A throng reportedly gathered on the road when an SUV hit a dumper from behind. When a speeding luxury car slammed into the throng, several of the inquisitive bystanders were attempting to aid the injured.

The Ahmedabad city police control reports that nine people were murdered and 13 were injured. According to local media, among those killed were young people from Botad and Surendranagar.

According to police, the incident happened at about 1:15 am on the ISKCON flyover on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar (SG) route.

According to reports, a large number of people were thrown roughly 20 to 25 feet away from the area as the luxury car rammed into the throng.

In other Gujarati news, on Wednesday, severe downpours shut off numerous villages and caused floods in low-lying areas, forcing authorities to relocate residents to safer spots in many locations.

A number of people were left trapped in Junagadh’s Mangrol taluka when water invaded residences in numerous villages and inundated approach roads rendering the areas inaccessible, according to officials.

According to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), Junagadh was the area most severely impacted by the torrential rains on Wednesday, with Mangrol taluka receiving 290 mm of rain in eight hours starting at 6 am and Malia Hatina taluka receiving 191 mm.
