Netflix introduces ‘My Netflix’, enabling users to access saved content

In order to assist users in selecting what to watch on the video streaming service, Netflix has launched a new feature called “My Netflix.”

Users will be able to view series and films that they have previously saved in the My Netflix section of the app. This will consist of:

  • The ‘Downloads’ tab on the platform has been gone, along with the downloaded content.
  • TV series and films saved on “My List” are those that have received a “thumbs up.”
  • User-viewed historical trailers
  • Reminder set by the user for recently viewed content displays that the user is now viewing

It’s not clear if trailers consist of those that users specifically search for on the platform or those that start playing as soon as a user opens the page or spends too much time staring at an icon.
According to the press release from Netflix, this new function has been particularly selected for people who are constantly on the go and do not have time to browse and pick a new episode.
