The Women in Tech ERG seeks to support and encourage the advancement of women working in technological fields.
The Deliveroo India Development Centre in Hyderabad has launched the “India Women in Tech” Group. The group is a part of the organization’s worldwide Women in Tech Employee Resource Group (ERG), which aims to promote gender diversity and provide women in technical roles more authority.
The Women in Tech ERG seeks to support and encourage the advancement of women working in technological fields. Additionally, this effort seeks to expand opportunities for women in technical jobs at Deliveroo while building an inclusive and supportive work environment.
Deliveroo is dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace that values diversity and uplifts women. Through this initiative, we hope to close the gender gap in technical roles and contribute to a more inclusive and diverse tech ecosystem, said Sashi Somavarapu, Vice President of Engineering and Country Head, Deliveroo India. “We recognise and embrace the positives that women bring to the table,” she added.
The ‘India Women in Tech’ team is made up of vivacious women who are based at the India Development Centre (IDC). The team, which consists of 26 people right now, wants to contribute significantly to Deliveroo’s global Women in Tech ERG and be fairly represented in all fields.
